The mezzanine rack system involves constructing an intermediate mezzanine floor over an existing workspace or rack to increase storage space. These systems can have two or three floor and are suitable for storing light and medium sized items, ideal for both large quantities of varied items or small batches. Goods are typically transported to the second or third floors via forklift, hydraulic lift, or goods elevator, and then moved to specific locations using light trolleys or hydraulic pallet trucks. Installation of Mezzanine Racking
To install mezzanine racking, begin by erecting the primary racking structure, positioning the columns vertically, and securing the beams into the columns’ designated holes with safety locks to prevent detachment. Once the base structure is stable, mount the mezzanine beams onto the rack’s columns and add the cross beams. Lastly, place the steel plates on the mezzanine beams and secure them to avoid shifting, completing the mezzanine racking installation.
